The past month has been spent in my cave. Although I have not been missed, I have been thoughtful of this blog. There is no indication that I have made any in roads with the readers and this fact has been difficult to reconcile.
I believe the current predicament that is prevelant in our society indicates there is a need for leadership. The leaders we have today are highly educated and many have advanced degrees. This does little to create leadership skills, evidenced by the breakdown in so many aspects of the global community. We now are allowing the same leaders solve the problems they facilitated. Either they are very smart or we are very dumb. Probably both.
The common sense solutions escape those who hold themselves up as experts. The very same hubris and self aggradizement that brought us to this crucial stage of financial survival is back in play. New laws and new regulations will not help the millions of people which became victims of greed and avarice from the “smart” ones. Why has no one been identified or accused? Why has no one been charged? History has shown that the laws are circumscribed by the rich and powerful and inevitably crush the common man. Why more laws? If anyone looks at the Federal and State statutes it is evident by the volumes of laws that there are laws in place which are sufficient to ajudicate those who engaged in the meltdown of our economy and forced the millions of common folks to loose all they had worked for. A crime has been committed against us. The only ones which remain are the victims. The perpetrators (traitors) have hidden in the shadows of our complacency.
