I recently read a question from a forum which was asked of the more fortunate of our society. The question concerned the opinions of how the economy was doing and how those asked perceived the future and how things could be made better. Some answers were pollyannish, some were naieve, none were realistic. The view of the economy and the coming difficulties were equivalent to the past statement of “Let them eat cake” mentality. If there was a way to provide computers to those less fortunate/poor folks and to give them a forum, what would the ideas and solutions be from their perspective?

I have thought there is a disconnect between the political leaders and the majority of the working class folks. How can a millionaire relate to someone who must wait for payday in order to go to the laundramat?

We are supposed to be classless social country. This myth seems to be promoted by those who have the money and are at the top of the ladder. The Myth needs to have the light of day shined upon the reality. I believe a computer in the hands of every citizen would change the direction and governance of this country dramatically.

I want to hear your opinions.
